Services offered to Freight Forwarders

Ariel Maritime serves the forwarding industry in many ways. As agents for various carriers we provide the freight forwarder with competitive ocean freight services both on a door to door basis and on a port to port basis. A variety of shipping options is available for all types of cargo needs. Service is provided using many types of container equipment including special equipment such as open tops and flat racks. Both project and conventional break bulk cargo is handled and to a wide range of ports. Roll on / Roll off service is also available to many areas to accommodate vehicles, rolling stock and heavy equipment.

As Intermodal specialists we can arrange via our network of inland carriers pick up from the origin on most cargoes such as LCL, FCL and even break bulk cargo where specialized and heavy haul truckers are needed. We look for the least cost routing and provide the forwarder with competitive freight services in a variety of trade routes. However, price is not the only factor and we strive to package the most reliable transport options where speed and reliability are foremost.

As a team of seasoned professions Ariel Maritime has its own offices in many areas and also uses a team of professional steamship agents as their representatives in places where they do not have their own offices. A strong network of dedicated agents is in place to ensure the speedy and safe release of the cargo at destination as well as work with forwarders, consignees and shippers in the overseas location. Knowledge of the local country and the conditions can be key to the overall service and reliability and this is where we excel as a through transport provider.

Brokerage is offered to the forwarder that books with us and the level of the commission varies based on the type of service and the destinations involved. The levels of the forwarder brokerage is very competitive and among the highest in the industry. We believe that our partnership with the freight forwarder is paramount and by offering them good service and fair compensation is a way to keep the partnership strong. This allows the freight forwarder to work directly to with the client and spend their time providing documentation and their expertise where it counts. We on the other hand concentrate our resources on the actual transportation part of the transaction thereby creating a professional partnership that WORKS!

We monitor the cargo from start to finish and keep the forwarder up to date with each stage of the shipment. Additional services are provided to the forwarder such as:

• Allows 'collect freight' to many destinations
  
• Offers collection of 'advance charges' for the forwarder
  
• Co-load rates for forwarders that issue their own House B/L
  
• Deconsolidation services at many destinations
